Trey and Rebecca

A couple months ago I shot a couple's session with my roommate Rebecca and her boyfriend Trey. I absolutely love this couple and they have come to mean so much to me in the last year as we've developed our friendships.

The shoot itself was a blast! We started off on Baylor's campus but very quickly moved to different locations around downtown Waco and Cameron Park. We even visited a few places that are significant to them as a couple.

Overall I am pleased with the way these turned out! Thanks for modeling for me T-Rec!

Marissa's Bridals

Last week I had the last minute opportunity to do a bridal session with an old friend of mine. Marissa and I have known each other since grade-school and we both attended Baylor for our undergraduate work. A couple weeks ago she contacted me about doing her bridals and I jumped at the chance. Marissa and Stephen were married July 18.

Marissa, I wish you and Stephen well as you begin your life together. I am so glad that I was able to be a part of your big day!

This is definitely one of my favorite's of the session!

Holly Carpenter

Friday morning I shot what I think has become my favorite session of the season with my friend Holly. I have only known Holly for a year but in the time I have known her she has blessed my life infinitely. She impresses me weekly with her creativity, heart for Christ, and joyful spirit.

Holly is graduating from Baylor in two weeks with a degree in interior design and going to work at a firm in the DFW area. While there, I know that God will use her to do great things as an ambassador to his kingdom. Congrats, Holly! To quote my father: "Good luck; we're all counting on you!" (No pressure.)

I've taken to calling this one "The perfect picture."

I am obsessed with this location. I think the series of images we got here are by far my favorite from the whole morning!

Dani Salazar

After our scheduled shoot was rained out on Tuesday morning, Dani and I were able to reschedule for Wednesday afternoon. However, evidently it was Baylor senior picture day and no one told us. We ran into at least 6 other people taking senior photos! It was crazy. But, in spite on the craziness, Dani and I were able to have a really productive session.

Dani is a political science major and after she graduates she will be moving to DC to pursue a career in public policy. In the meantime, Dani will intern at the Capitol next year while applying to law schools. Good luck, Dani! From our little bit of time together I have no doubt that you will do great things!

(Special shoutout to Tim and Keon. Thanks for letting us borrow you to throw glitter, guys. I honestly think you could put it on your resumes: Professional Glitterers.)

Amanda's Recital

In the midst of this crazy season of senior portraits I was able to take a weekend off and attend the senior recital of one of my favorite people. Amanda is a senior music education major at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. She also happens to be my brother's girlfriend. Coming as no surprise to any of the numerous attendees, Amanda's recital went off without a hitch. She sang beautifully and communicated the intent of the movements in a way that made the listener feel and experience the music rather than just hear it.

Since Amanda came into my life she has pushed me to think critically and be a better version of myself. I was honored to be a part of her big day!

Megan Legband

Over the last year I have had the privilege to do several different shoots with Megan. And last week we got up early on a Sunday morning to capture some more memories. Like Emily, Megan is my roommate and my life has been made infinitely better in the last two years by having her in it.

Megan is a University Scholar focusing in English and story structure at Baylor University. She plans to attend law school and eventually practice human rights law as an advocate for women and children.

These first two images are actually from and earlier shoot with Megan but I think they capture an aspect of Megan's personality that we didn't in our "senior shoot."

Emily Ingram

It's been a busy few weeks for me. With graduation right around the corner all of the seniors are emerging from their finals/thesis induced zombie states long enough to have their portraits taken. This shoot, however, has been in the books since November.

Meet Emily: speech pathology major, future world changer, and all around awesome person. She also happens to be my roommate and one of my best friends. I could not be more thankful for her friendship and willingness to model at the drop of a hat. Thanks for being you, Emily!

On a more serious note: Emily will be attending the University of Texas Dallas campus to pursue a graduate degree in speech pathology.

I'm so glad that Emily chose to wear blue. It really makes her eyes pop.

Bonnie Cantwell

Last week I had the privilege of shooting Bonnie's senior portraits. Bonnie radiates joy in a way that makes her an absolute breeze to photograph! I had so much fun on a shoot that started on Baylor's campus and ended up at her favorite study spot.

Bonnie, an honors student majoring in philosophy and history, will be graduating from Baylor in May. Thanks for letting me be a part of your journey, Bonnie!

What's a Baylor senior shoot without one of the Baylor swings?

The First of Many!!

Last week I had the opportunity to do a shoot with a friend of mine named Sarah. In May Sarah will graduate from Baylor University with a double major in Arabic and Middle East Studies in addition to International Studies. In her time at Baylor, Sarah studied abroad in Israel and played for the softball team. Here are a few of my favorite moments from our afternoon together!

This is one of my favorites from the day.

Don't worry...we only used flowers that had already been trampled in the never-ending quest for wildflower portraits.
